Open Oceans

Scuba DiverAway from the coast, the waters around Looe deepen to an underwater world only seen by the skilled divers who visit it. People on the water, however, may catch a glimpse of life under the rolling waves.

Aside from the plethora of fish that exist within this rich fishing area, the Looe Voluntary Marine Conservation Area is also visited by dolphins, porpoises, basking sharks and even sun fish.

It’s now quick and easy to record all your wildlife sightings online or to find out what others have seen through the Online Recording Kernow and Scilly (ORKS) website.
