Cetaceans are a group of mammals that include whales, dolphins, and porpoises. The Cetacean Acoustic Trend Tracking (CATT) is a long-term acoustic monitoring project utilising Chelonia F-POD loggers and citizen scientist. The Looe MCG have teamed up with Research Development UK, alongside The Wildlife Trusts, other conservation organisations, and universities, and deployed an F-POD in the Looe Bay. This device forms part of a network spanning the Isles of Scilly to Sussex!
Join Meg and the Looe MCG to hear about this exciting project and how you can get involved.
The talk will be followed by our monthly meeting to which all are welcome. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. This is a FREE event but donations to Looe Marine Conservation Group are welcome. Please check our website (www.looemarineconservation.org) and Facebook page (www.facebook.com/LooeMCG) closer to the time of the event for the most up to date information.
