Looe is holding a special ‘Societies Day’ at the Millpool Centre in the Millpool Car Park, West Looe on Saturday January 25th. It will be a great opportunity to come and chat to members of the Looe Marine Conservation Group as we will be manning our stand from 10 am to 4 pm, with free refreshments and for once, a venue in the dry!!
Looe Societies Day – what is it?
The purpose of the Looe Societies Day on Saturday January 25th 10 am til 4 pm is to Show case the variety of societies, clubs , community groups , organisations and projects in the Looe area with a view to encourage greater membership, increase participation, recruit new volunteers and to celebrate the excellent facilities available to residents and visitors to the area.
Membership and Volunteers
We are keen to encourage both membership (£6 annual for Individual membership, £12 for a Family (2 adults and up to 3 children) or Corporate at £15 for schools and businesses. We also need new volunteers. It’s a really rewarding chance to get involved in conserving local marine life in and around the Looe Voluntary Marine Conservation Area, so do come and see us. We’re a friendly bunch! In the meantime, why not request membership or contact us to find out how you can get more involved.
