‘Seagrass, Blue Meadows, and Cornish marine megafauna/boat tours!’
Ocean Conservation Trust is a global charity striving towards a healthy Ocean. One of their programmes is Blue Meadows, a holistic approach to seagrass protection, regeneration, and restoration. The Blue Meadows team works across the southwest of the UK and is the largest seagrass restoration programme at scale! This talk will dive into the world of seagrass, the amazing species that call it home, and the work Blue Meadows is doing to restore this vital habitat.
Eden Stevens, Cornwall Community Engagement Officer for Blue Meadows, is a Cornish conservationist whose previous roles have included being a wildlife guide on boats and a rockpool safari guide. She describes herself as an ocean enthusiast, passionate environmentalist and nature nerd!
The talk will be followed by our in-person monthly meeting to which all are welcome. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. This is a FREE event but donations to Looe Marine Conservation Group are welcomed. Please check our website (www.looemarineconservation.org) and Facebook page (www.facebook.com/LooeMCG) closer to the time of the event for the most up to date information.
