Can’t tell a Shag from a Cormorant? A guide to the sea, shore and river birds of Looe
In this illustrated talk Derek Spooner will help you to improve your skills in identifying the wide range of birds associated with the marine and coastal environment of Looe. Is that a Curlew or a Whimbrel? What’s that funny-looking black and white bird making a cooing noise on East Looe beach? Come and find out!
Derek is a local birder and author of the book Wild Looe. He monitors the seabird colonies of Looe Island for the Cornwall Wildlife Trust and is a volunteer nest recorder for the British Trust for Ornithology.
